How does that resonate with you?
When was the last time you spent being intentionally happy? That is to be creating and mindfully spending time thinking, doing and speaking happiness.
I see in my clients and myself that all too often we get caught up in doing life. We forget to be mindful about our happiness. We can become robots to our lives and mindlessly go about our day, week, months and years.
Let’s dig into nourishing and mindfully being happy. Did you know that happiness is a resilience skill as well as good for overall well-being?
Research shows that building happiness is good for your overall well-being and resiliency skill.
Here are a few ways to strengthen happiness
1.Invest in being happy
2.Be mindful of what is going good in your life – look for the positive!
3.Be grateful and have gratitude
4.Be kind – to yourself and others
5.Cultivate a growth mindset
6.Do things you love to do and find meaningful
7.Recognize and utilize your strengths
8.Forgive yourself and others
9.Take good care of yourself – get your needs met
10.Believe you can be happy
These are a few ways that you can build and invest in your happiness. It’s what you think, say and do.
Of course, we aren’t going to be happy all of the time. Life happens and sometimes life gives us really hard challenges. When that happens allow yourself to feel the feelings and process the changes. Make a note to remember you can be happy again and mindfully look for the positive.
